The Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena is a 6,800 square foot multi-purpose arena. Completed in 1973, the arena provides an entertainment venue for residents of Greater Binghamton, featuring hockey, family shows, concerts, trade shows and many other professional, scholastic and amateur sporting events. The arena was designed by a college student who had won a public design competition. The first act to open the arena was the Barnum & Bailey Circus in May of 1973. Every December the arena plays host to the Stop-DWI Holiday Classic. World Wrestling Entertainment is also held at the venue and on June 13, 2005 the arena hosted RAW which was broadcast live on Television. The Broome County Arena is also the home for the 2008 AHL All-Star Game.
